Elīna Rancāne is a socio-legal researcher and doctoral candidate at the University of Latvia. Her work focuses on equality and anti-discrimination law, gender, legal language, and the relationship between law and society.
Her research examines how legal concepts are constructed, interpreted, and contested, with particular attention to positive action, stereotyping, and the social meaning of law. Alongside her research, she is a lecturer in Legal Ethics and an assistant lecturer in Legal Discourse in Gender Studies.
